Tokyo Tower, the famous landmark of Tokyo, also known as the Communication and Observation Tower, is the visionary idea of Hisakichi Maeda, who aimed to surpass the height of the Eiffel Tower. The Tokyo Tower was completed mostly with the handiwork of 200.000 talented craftsmen in one and a half years in 1958.

It was primarily built as a support structure for radio and TV broadcasting antennas. But, this impressive 333 meters high tower, quickly became a popular tourist attraction and symbol of Tokyo. The Tokyo Tower offers a stunning view of sightseeing spots such as Shiba Park, Zojoji Temple, and on clear days, Mt. Fuji. Visitors can also walk on the glass floor for a thrilling experience 145 meters above the ground, or enjoy the shops, amusement facilities, and cafes.

Of course, a remarkable place such as this also made its way into the anime series. So, today we will share which anime series Tokyo Tower has seen. Just a heads up, this article contains major spoilers. Proceed with caution, anime lovers!

Let's first start with our high schooler who shrunk and turned into a child detective. Detective Conan's ( a.k.a Case Closed) world takes place in a fictional city called Beika City. Many times we see Touto Tower which looks like Tokyo Tower (like in Serial Bomber Case, episode 304 and in Eri Kisaki Abduction Case, Episode 901-902). it is mentioned that the tower is 1.34 km away from the Mouri Detective Agency. Of course, it is not only seen in episodes. Also, in one of the openings of Detective Conan, we see Kudo Shinichi and Ran Mouri in front of the Tokyo Tower.

Cardcaptor Sakura anime follows the story of a 10-year-old magical girl who is chosen to find missing magical cards known as Clow Cards. From start to finish, Tokyo Tower took place in many episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura. Especially in some of Sakura's dreams and in the fighting scene where she needs to prove her worth as the cards' master.

Sailor Moon, another magical girl anime that has fans around the world, has several episodes with Tokyo Tower. For example, in the third season of the anime, (a.k.a Sailor Moon S) Sailor Guardians fight with Kaolinite, who causes heavy damage in the Tokyo Tower and falls from it at the end of episode 102.

The Tokyo team, whose members have recently died and reappeared to protect the world from the alien threat in the Gantz anime, is gathered in an apartment with a view of Tokyo Tower.

As we mentioned before in the Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Real-Life Locations Article, in the first season of opening credits at the Azabu Tunnel scene you can also see the Tokyo Tower at the back. This anime is about a high school student named Yuji Itadori who joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful curse.

The Doraemon(1979) anime, which is about a robot cat that comes from the future, uses Tokyo Tower as a real-life location, too. For example, in episode 19, Doraemon gives the children model planes that they can shrink to fit inside them to fly. Gian steals Doraemon's plane and shoots the others. Afterward, he takes a break at the top of the Tokyo Tower to watch the sunset.

Non-Non Biyori anime follows a group of children's daily life in a fictional small village called Asahigaoka. At the beginning of the second season of the anime, Non-non Byori Repeat, Hikage goes to Tokyo, and she comes back in the 7th episode. As promised before, Hikage shows Renge her pictures that were taken at Tokyo Tower.

In the first anime series of Digimon, Digimon Adventure, DeathMeramon's heat melts the Tower. In the second series of Digimon, Digimon Adventure 02, episode 17, during the anniversary of the day that Digimon appeared in the Real World, Sora Takenouchi, Mimi Tachikawa, and Inoue Miyako visit Tokyo Tower. In the Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning movie, a giant Digitama, a Digimon egg, appears above Tokyo Tower.

Love Live! Sunshine!!, is a slice-of-life anime about a group of girls at a girls' academy who become idols to save their school, also has an episode with Tokyo Tower in it. In the 1st season, Episode 8, girls visit Tokyo Tower.
