I already own Hotel California on SACD from Mo-Fi, but decided to pick this up so I could get the included 5.1 surround sound mix of the album, and I wasn't disappointed! I actually prefer this edition to the American Mo-Fi edition. This album sounds so good in surround sound and the clarity of the SACD makes the band sound like they're playing in your home, a must buy.

Hotel California of The Eagles sounds clear and spacious on SHM SACD, much better than the MFSL version. I love this album and can't get enough of the tracks, fantastic
The 5.1 layer is wonderfully full of smooth vocals and thundering instruments. The bass on all tracks of crisp and clear. This version has shown how good my hi-fi system can sound. A must have for any surround sound collection. I am happy to have a copy and it will serve as reference material for my own sound system calibration. WOW!
Very good SACD. Good sound and reminds my of my earlier times. Reccomend this! One of the best Eagles albums in my opinion.

At first I was skeptical how good can this remastering be. Then I got the sacd I was simply amazed that it can sound that good. I will leave the tecnical side to others but for me this is what audiophile really sounds like period.

The SACD sounds wonderfully smooth. Don Henley's voice has a richness with extra texturing I don't hear on the DVD-A. In general instruments are more clearly defined. I would thoroughly recommend the SACD of Hotel California, especially for the multichannel tracks (even if one already owns the DVD-A)
I only have about 20 SACD's, but this is definitely in the top 5. The instruments are picture perfect, great clarity, and balanced sound all around in 5.1 glory.
