In terms of quality of the background music, the first Tenchi Muyo! Ryououki - Ongaku Shu - Dai 3 Ki Series cd was much better. I can't help but feel like these background tracks were probably left-over pieces of music from the series. Despite this fact, there are a few background pieces that retain the beauty that many of pieces on the fist soundtrack shared. That aside, this cd's main draw for me was that it has the full length and karaoke versions of the ending theme, "Lovely Cookin'". That was reason enough for me to purchase this cd, seeing as only the OVA sized version of the song is on the first volume.
