I don't care so much for Bryan's newer stuff, it doesn't rock like he used to in the 80's but this is definitely the best sounding collection of his out there, especially when played on a Cambridge Audio 840C up-sampling cd player. Wow!!

SHM-CD reissue featuring the 1993 edit of this release. The high quality SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. This release is also part of the 200-album SHM-CD Series Campaign from Universal Music Japan.

Finally , fantastic sound WITH OUT using a SACD player. I thought that SHM-CDs was a gimmick at first. I have been burned by improved sound promises before. This was 1 of the first SHM-CDs , that I have ever bought. I bought this SHM-CD , in , CANADA. I am always looking for excellent sound for my multi-channel 5.1 stereo , so , I took out my wallet [so to speak] and took a chance to listen and judge for myself. I figured that was the only way to know for sure. BOY , what excellent sound!!! Far , far better sound than my older re-mastered version [1993] of this CD. So , I bought more SHM-CDs from this site [GUNS & ROSES , STEELY DAN] and I have yet to be disappointed. I will never have to buy a SACD player , [again]. YES , SHM-CDs are that great sounding. Do yourself a favour and check out just 1 of these , SHM-CDs. YOU will be glad that you did. I can't wait for my future orders of some of , THE WHO's [SHM-CDs] , 4 SUPERTRAMPs [SHM-CDs] and the new , LED ZEPPELIN studio , SHM-CDs.
