Kanjani8 won my heart months ago, but this DVD really sealed the deal. Everyone is great here. And the variety of songs is wonderful. (Although we all miss Uchi-kun.) Ryo's solo, "Ai Igai no Nandemo nai" was a complete surprise and totally blew me away! And Sankyoudai (Subaru, Yu & Shota), got a chance to shine with two of their songs, "Amechan" and "Purin". Also, OhYaMada (aka Kanjimi3), had a great song as well, "Ashita". The solos are wonderful, and I was pleasantly surprised by Shingo's "She's a Woman" number. This concert just pulls you in. The MC parts are hilarious and it's great how they always incorporate the Jrs into their concerts. These guys know how to have fun, they know how to entertain, and they look cool doing it. I'd suggest this for absolutely any fan of Japanese music.

This is a really terrific concert, not just for the group's amazing musical talent (singing, dancing, MC, versatility), but it's a great chance to see these Kanasai men do what they do best. It's their world, we're just looking in. Good music and good fun!
Spirits!! is the concert DVD for Kanjani8's 2005 Summer concert. The concert is upbeat, and features many of the Kanjani8 songs that fans love. The boys also managed to sneak in a few surprises - new songs, skits, and some insane MC talks. The DVD itself is streamlined and easy to navigate. The sound is fantastic, and the camera work is top notch. Each member gets a fair amount of screen time, and many shots capture the friendship of the group members. Besides many of the songs available on their mini-album, as well as their second single, the group sang all three songs on their third single. The DVD also contains the fan favorite Osaka Romanesque. This DVD is a lot of fun, and each rewatching brings new things to the table. With so much happening at one time it is easy to miss some of the smaller details - such as members missing dance steps, or facial expressions during talks.
