2024年11月リリースの2nd Mini Album『STORMED』からわずか5ヶ月。3rd Mini Albumリリース! 前作発売時のインタビューでも語られていたとおり、今作収録曲は「STORMED」と同時期に制作されたもので、「STORMED」と対を成す作品であると同時に、フルアルバム「Travel The Galaxy」以降の2年間にメンバーが溜め込んだフラストレーションを晴らしつつ、バンドとして新たな道筋へと舵を切ったことが窺える、リスタートにふさわしい1枚。今作のオープニングを飾るタイトルトラック「SLEEPLESS」は、吉村のしなやかなリズムと腰をグイグイ刺激する福田のスラップベース、鷲山&澤田が織りなす色彩豊かなギターフレーズにパワフルなボーカルと、メンバーそれぞれの個性やテクニックが際立つ1曲。すべての要素が絶妙なバランスのもとで重なり合うことで生まれた、サスフォーの新たなアンセムと言えるもの。次曲の「FREEDOM」は前作での「STORMED」に続き、いきものがかりやLiSAなどの楽曲で知られる江口亮がプロデュースを担当。そして今作にもDISC2では収録曲が全曲インストverにて収録された「SLEEPLESS (Instrumental)」がもちろん付属。新ドラマー吉村建太郎という最後のピースが揃い、ついに復活の狼煙を上げた新生サスフォー。前作と今作を楽しむことで、サスフォーが進化、変化を遂げる瞬間をじっくり感じ取っていただきたい!
