Absolutely classic Gundam series, that eschews the new type side story by grounding the anime in a very Earth based setting. One of the greatest real robot mecha series ever made, with beautiful animation, an outstanding soundtrack, and excellent character development. Awesome mecha designs abound, with the Ground Type Gundam and the EZ8 being two of my favourite MS in the Gundamverse.
I watched it using 4K TV and upscaled 4K Blu Ray player. The 1080p transfer is good for sound but there is digital noise for the images. Story wise is top notch as the scripwriter and directors had made me sympathsize with the characters in the OVA. The downside is that there are no subtitles done for the short film in the Extra Bonus and the lyrics for both OP and ED. Bandai, please take note for the next batch release. IMDB rating: 8 out of 10.
