Plot: In 2022, the world of virtual reality was upended by the arrival of a new invention from a genius programmer, Akihiko Kayaba. Called NerveGear, it was the first full-dive system and with it, came endless possibilities to VRMMORPGs. In 2026, a new machine called the Augma is developed to compete against the NerveGear and its successor, the Amusphere. A next-gen wearable device, the Augma doesn't have a full-dive function like its predecessors. Instead, it uses Augmented Reality (AR) to get players into the game. The movie was amazing 10/10 . It was a high quality movie, with amazing story, animation and music. I love all the bonuses, but i wanted to have more :) I watched this on my PS4 and was great. I wanted to see the bonus episode Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale - Sword Art Offline with subs...well i think i try to figure out what they say xd I liked also the bonus CD with the character songs.

Great movie. Underwhelming LE. 4

I was expecting something impressive, given Aniplex's track record, despite the set's lower-than-usual price tag. The quality of the video and the audio is good. However, compared to my other Aniplex disc sets, the bonus content is rather disappointing. The case holding the blu-ray and the CD felt cheap. The discs themselves are in black and white with simple text and no graphic overlay. The movie featured a touching story line and great fanfare, it deserves a better treatment than this.
