3D Secure Authentication with Credit Cards
With the transition to 3D Secure 2.0, authentication rules may vary depending on your credit card company.Compared to the traditional 3D Secure 1.0, 3D Secure 2.0 offers higher security.
1. Setting Up 3D Secure 2.0
Depending on your credit card company, you may need to set this up yourself, or it may be registered automatically. Please check your credit card company's website for details.2. Authentication Method
With the transition to 3D Secure 2.0, password authentication is shifting from a “fixed password” to a more secure **one-time password* method.The one-time password may be sent either to your registered email address or via SMS linked to your registered mobile phone number. Please check your credit card company’s website to find out which method applies to your card.
If you have the option to choose, please select authentication via email address.
When accessing from overseas, SMS messages may not be delivered. Some banks will issue the verification code through their exclusive app.
In some cases, the verification code may not be sent to your app due to technical errors.
Here are some suggestions to resolve this.
* Switch Browsers
* Disable Ad-blockers or Extensions
* Clear Cache & Cookies
* Try Paypal (if urgent)
You can link your credit card and pay Paypal with us. That way your order will go through but you'll still be charged to your credit card.
CVV Code Verification
To ensure that the security of your credit card is fully protected, our website requires you to enter the CVV Number, the 3-4 digit security code on VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards.

CVV verification is performed only once when you place your order or when you add your card information to your customer account. Once CVV verification is completed, it will not be repeated for that card unless you update your card information registered in your CDJapan customer account.
Please note that CVV verification is performed without a purchase amount when you add card or edit your card information. Some issuers of card automatically insert an amount to facilitate verification, and it may appear temporarily as a pending charge, even though they will never bill you for it. Furthermore, some issuers of card are unable to process verification outside of an purchase. In that case, proceed to checkout and enter your card information when placing your order.
