The shape of the top is not just round but round and flat. It applies powder evenly and uniformly.
At first, I felt that the volume of hair is slightly less dense but now, I am not so concerned about it at all because it applies a sufficient amount of powder. It spreads it quickly.
The hair is very very soft as I had expected. It leaves a natural, matte finish as powder is lightly applied to your skin.
Don't worry! As I said, it applies a sufficient amount of powder, so you can apply color as you like.
I recommend you not to wash it more than necessary as the hair is very delicate. I lay this brush down after using it.
It is suitable for powder application not liquid or cream.

This red squirrel eye shadow brush is almost the same as BP033 Eye Shadow M for the size and the shape of the top.
The hair is more soft than BP033 Eyeshadow M. (BP033 is made of gray squirrel hair) If you like matte finish eye makeup, I recommend this red squirrel eye shadow brush. Sweep brush horizontally on your eye zone.

I think that an eye liner brush made of red squirrel is uncommon.
Before I tried this, I felt that it might be too soft to use as an eye liner brush. But soon, I have noticed that the softness works for blending eyeliner into eye shadow to create a smoky looking eye! Also used under the eye for creating a sexy smoky eye. It is perfect not only for blending but for writing an eyeliner. Be careful not to blend gel eyeliner. The hair is suitable for powder application.
Hakuhodo B181 Eye Shadow is very similar to this brush. I like that it's not too tapered as it leaves a soft finish.
