1- Melon Soda Float (Restaurant To Another World)

Restaurant To Another World, a.k.a Isekai Shokudou, is about a Western restaurant named Nekoya located in Tokyo. It serves traditional Japanese and Western dishes to special guests like dragons, elves, fairies, and mages. These unique guests can only come on Saturdays when the Nekoya's door opens to other worlds. This anime is an adaptation of a web novel. It also has a light novel series and a manga series.

Every anime episode introduces new characters and two recipes that they enjoy. Melon Soda Float drink is in the 9th episode's second part of the anime (volume 4 of the manga series). Prince Shareef, and his half-sister Renner from the Western Continent's Land of Sand, are regulars of Nekoya Restaurant. They enjoy cold drinks, but Shareef's real purpose for visiting the restaurant is that he has fallen in love with a beautiful woman he saw in the restaurant. Still, he is too shy and stubborn to confess his feelings to her, so her half-sister interferes to help him. Meanwhile, she enjoys drinking Melon Soda Float there. Melon Soda Float has soft cream on top of bubbly melon soda with a cherry.

2- Chocolate Parfait (Restaurant To Another World)

Chocolate parfait appears in episode 3 of the anime and volume 2 of the manga. It contains chocolate, kiwi, banana, and strawberry. Since it is not too sweet like other desserts in the restaurant, it is a dessert both adults and children can enjoy. It is Princess Adelheid's favorite. Full of memories with her late grandfather.

3- Annin Tofu And Fruit Jam With Strawberries (The Way of The Househusband)

The Way of the Househusband is about Tatsu's effort to become an excellent househusband. But his actions are frequently mistaken for other things because of his frightening look and suspicious behavior. He retires from the yakuza world to become a househusband to support his wife Miku, who is a career woman. As an ex-yakuza, Tatsu is known by the nickname Immortal Dragon, who is a fearless yakuza. This anime is a fun anime to watch. Especially Tatsu's former yakuza associates and rivals.

In episode 3 of the anime (Episode 2 of the live-action drama and 2nd volume of the manga), Tatsu made a competition with his rival Torajiro, who he met again after a long time. The winner needs to make more likes on Instagram with their own dessert. Tatsu made Annin Tofu and fruit jam with strawberries on top. Annin Tofu is a soft jelly made of apricot seed milk, agar, and sugar. I guess because of the cultural difference in the anime, annin tofu was translated as almond jelly in English subtitles.

You can find this dessert recipe in the "Kyoku Shufu Do" Official Guide.

4- Kiki's Chocolate Cake (Kiki's Delivery Service)

Kiki's Delivery Service is about a young witch who leaves her family and hometown behind to explore the world and find new places, but it looks like making new friends won't be as easy as she thinks. But this cute and friendly witch makes friends young and old. Even she receives a chocolate cake from an old lady she helps. This anime movie was written, produced, and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It was an adaptation of a novel.

5-Matcha Warabi Mochi and Anmitsu Set (RokuhodoYotsuiro Biyori)

Yotsuiro Biyori is about a Japanese-style tea house called Rokuhodo. Sui, the tea expert, runs this tea house with his friends, Barista Gure, Patissier Tsubaki, and Chef Tokitaka. They also help customers with their various problems in this tea house.

In episode 10, They serve Matcha Warabi Mochi and Anmitsu sets. Anmitsu is served in a bowl that contains azuki bean paste, fruits like cherry, kiwi, peach, and agar cubes. It is served with Japanese black syrup. And matcha warabi mochi is basically made from starch and covered with matcha.

6-Lemon Pie (Detective Conan)

High school detective Shinichi Kudo was trapped within a child's body as a result of an unexpected side effect of an experimental drug called APTX 4869. With a new name he chose spontaneously (Edogawa Conan), he tries to help police solve cases and find the Black Organization that turns him into a child. In the Memories of First Love episode (manga volume 18), Asami Uchida, who has known Shinichi since middle school, invites Ran and Sonoko to her birthday by chance and bakes her trademark recipe: Lemon Pie. Ran wonders if Asami was Shinichi’s first love.

They use ready pie sheets. First making caramelized lemon slices. Then lemon-curd and almond-cream. And bake them together in the oven with the pie sheet. And ready! You can find Lemon Pie recipe in the Detective Conan Recipe Plus Super Digest Book (SDB).

7-Botamochi (Detective Conan)

In the A Dangerous Party of Two episode (manga volume 65), Agasa and Ai Haibara's beetle broke down while returning home from Yamanashi. So they hitchhike to go to Tokyo. Even though at first people in the car look and talk suspiciously, it turns out they are only Yamato Kansuke and Yui Uehara( police officers from Nagano). We also see Yamato Kansuke’s Botamochi which he learned making from his granny. Botamochi is a traditional Japanese confection made from rice and azuki bean paste.
