On December 9, 2019, Empresa Brasileira de Correios e Telégrafos (Brazilian Post and Telegraph Corporation) commonly known as Correios, published a statement explaining that as of January 1, 2020, the Receita Federal do Brasil (Brazilian Internal Revenue Service) will require that all packages sent from abroad into Brazil via Correios include the number of Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (individual registry equivalent to Tax ID) or CPF for individuals, or the number of Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Jurídicas (entity registry equivalent to Tax ID) or CNPJ for entities.

As a result, from January 1, 2020, Correios will require the number of CPF or CNPJ of the buyer, to process and clear customs, all packages sent from abroad into Brazil.
You must include your CPF or CNPJ with your shipping address. If you fail to provide the CPF or CNPJ number to Correios, it may result in the prohibition of the entrance of the package, the return of the package cannot be reimbursed the shipping charge.

In order to be able to continue receiving their packages sent via Correios, we would you like to edit the shipping address with CPF or CNPJ before you place an order. If you have any open order which you need to update the shipping charge, please contact us, info@cdjapan.co.jp
